Understanding And Playing Blackjack At A Online Casino

Blackjack  is also commonly known  as Twenty one and Pontoon.  Blackjack is indeed  the most widely played casino game in the
world. A standard Blackjack game is played  with one or  more card  decks containing  52 cards. The basic rules of  the blackjack
game involves adding the value of an initial two cards hand in hopes of being dealt a value of  twenty-one. If a value of less  than
twenty one is dealt by the dealer, the blackjack player may choose to be dealt single cards until they are able to reach a value of
twenty one, reach a value they feel comfortable to play, or reach a  value that exceeds  /  bust twenty-one.  The blackjack winner
will hold a  hand with a value of twenty one  (blackjack), or nearest  to twenty one without exceeding it / going bust. The blackjack
game is played in many variations at casinos with different blackjack  table rules. Casino blackjack is very popular due to a mix of
chance, skill, and the publicity that surrounds card counting, for  example: calculating the probability of advantages based on the
ratio of high to low cards

Blackjack Rules Of Play Against Casino Dealer

In casino blackjack the dealer will faces one to several blackjack players from behind a blackjack table. Each player will play their
hand independently against the blackjack table  dealer. At the start of each game, the players will place a bet  and  in  return  the
Blackjack dealer will and deals players with the initial hand of two cards. The object of the blackjack  game is to get a higher card
value than the blackjack dealer, but without going over 21 which is called ‘bust’ Cards with the  numbers 2 to 10 will count as that
value; the jack, queen, and king will count as 10; and the ace card can be either 1 or 11 and  this is the blackjack player's choice
etc. The player goes first and plays their hand by  taking additional  cards if they  require. If they go over 21, they are ‘busts’ and
will  automatically lose the  hand and  their placed  bet. The  blackjack dealer  in-turn  will  then  play  their  hand.  If the blackjack
dealer goes bust, they will lose to all remaining  blackjack players who  have cards that are  equal to  or below the  value of  21. If
neither the dealer or player go bust, the higher  hand value will win. If a player ties with the blackjack dealer the hand is known as
a ‘push’ and the player's bet is basically returned.

Blackjack Players Decisions

After a blackjack player gets their initial two cards, the players have four  standard options being: "hit," "stand," "double down," or
"split a pair." At some casinos or tables, the player may have a fifth option called "surrender."

Options Explained:-

Hit: Basically means the player wants to take another card from the table blackjack dealer.

Stand: Means the player does not want anymore more cards.

Double down: After a player gets first initial two cards and  before any more are  dealt to him, a player has the option to ‘double
down’ This means the player is allowed to double their initial bet in exchange for  receiving only one more card from the blackjack
dealer. The hand played consists of their original two cards plus  one  more  from  the  blackjack dealer. To do  this they move  a
second bet equal to the first bet next to their original bet.

Split a pair: If  the blackjack players  first two cards are  a "pair," meaning  two cards  of the same value, the  player will have the
option of "splitting the pair." To do this, the player will move a second bet equal to the first bet in to an area outside the box of the
original bet. The blackjack dealer will separate the cards to create two hands, placing one bet with each of the hands. The player
will then play two separate hands at the same time.

Surrender: Some casinos will have a fifth option called "surrender." After the  table dealer has checked for blackjack, the player
may "surrender" by giving up half their bet and not playing out the hand.

The blackjack player can take as many hits as they wants during a round as long as  the total in his  hand is not above  hard  20.
If the blackjack player goes bust, they will lose that hand. After all the blackjack players have  finished making their decisions, the
table dealer will then reveal their hole card and in-turn play out their hand according to the predetermined casino rules.
